Borage Oil, 2 oz

Color: pale yellow
This oil is extracted from Borago officinalis, commonly known as the starflower, found in gardens and even on wasteland. Fatty Acid Borage oil can be added in small quantity (5-10%) to other carrier oils and is especially useful for aging skin.

Considered a more potent version of evening primrose oil, it contains 15% gamma linoleic acid, can play an important role in the regulation of prostaglandin, and is very useful for dry, scaly eczema and psoriasis. Keep refrigerated.

Borago officinalis Borage seed oil is clear and slightly thick with very little odor. It contains an abundance of gamma linoleic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid that the body uses to manufacture prostaglandinshormone like substances that balance and regulate cellular activity. It reduces the aging process of the skin and reverses damage from ultraviolet rays. This oil is used to treat PMS, endometriosis, and menopausal discomforts, as well as for psoriasis and eczema. It’s not a cooking oil. It may be used at a 10%-15% dilution rate.. SAP value: 188.0.
