This blend contains single oils that have traditionally been proven to help relieve migraine and stress headaches. This blend may also help with nausea and depression.
Peppermint: is anti-inflammatory to the nerves. It has a soothing and cooling effect on headaches. It is purifying and stimulating to the conscious mind. Peppermint is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion as well. Jean Valnet, MD, studied the beneficial effects of peppermint on the liver and respiratory systems. Other scientists have researched its effect on impaired taste and smell as well as improved concentration and mental accuracy. Alan Hirsch, MD, studied its ability to directly affect the brain’s satiety center, triggering a sensation of fullness after meals, which may help in weight loss by curbing the appetite. Daniel Penoel, MD, reports that it may help to reduce fevers, candida, nausea, vomiting, and strengthen the respiratory system.
Basil: has antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic properties. It is relaxing to spastic muscles, including that that contributes to headaches and migraines. Basil can be relaxing to smooth muscles as well as the involuntary muscles of the heart and digestive system. It may soothe insect bites from bees, wasps, and spiders. Basil has been found to alleviate mental fatigue, spasms, rhinitis, and help when there is loss of smell due to nasal congestion.
Marjoram: is relaxing, calming, and appeasing to the muscles that constrict and sometimes contribute to headaches. It is used for calming the respiratory system and soothing sore and aching muscles. Marjoram helps regenerate smooth muscle tissue, and also assists in relieving spasms and migraine headaches and calming the nerves. It is antimicrobial, anti-infectious, antibacterial, antiseptic and may work as a diuretic.
Helichrysum: helps regenerate tissue and nerves and improves circulation. It is an anticoagulant, prevents phlebitis, helps regulate cholesterol, stimulates liver cell function, and may help clean plaque and debris from the veins and arteries. It is mucolytic, an expectorant, antispasmodic, and reduces scarring and discoloration. As a powerful anti-inflammatory, it may even help reduce inflammation in the meninges of the brain.
